Some Americans Aren't Getting The Right Medicine

Some Americans aren't getting the right medicine.

Heart experts say people should be prescribed specific types of drugs after a heart attack, but people living in San Angelo, Texas are far more likely to get the right ones than people living in Salem, Oregon.

A new study shows there are regional differences on where Americans are getting the proper prescriptions from their doctors, and the researchers say this is more evidence of how disorganized and illogical US health care can be.

One doctor says there is no good reason why heart attack victims living in Ogden, Utah, are twice as likely to get medicine to lower their cholesterol than those in Abilene, Texas.
